HVAC is an independent non-profit corporation dedicated to providing emergency medical services (EMS) to the Borough of Hawthorne, New Jersey and surrounding communities since 1932. We were founded by the VFW Post 1593. All of our services are provided free of charge.

We are staffed 100% by volunteers! HVAC also responds to various non-emergent requests such as community and stand-by events, non-emergent transportation for Hawthorne residents, and public education for the community.
